Private Lessons and Programs

  Weekly violin/viola lessons of 30, 45 or 60 minutes in length are offered here at the studio. 

Regular lessons follow the school year calendar.

Summer lessons are offered as well.

Approximately 4 times a year, I host violin parties on Saturdays here at the studio for all students. These parties are great for students preparing for auditions, getting over "stage fright", testing out performance techniques, playing music with friends, making friends, and measuring progress for the session. Students will play individually and together. All ages welcome, this is very informal. Ice cream sundaes will follow! Parents of little ones are welcome. 

For students with 3 or more years of experience. Join us two Sunday evenings a month, from 6:30-7:30pm, for a fiddle session! We learn one or two new tunes each meeting, and review older ones as well. We will explore Scottish and Irish tunes, as well as some Old Timey, Quebecois, Bluegrass and Eastern European selections. And there are always homemade cookies!

 Come play through your prepared audition pieces, scales and etudes for a mock adjudicator. We will go through all aspects of the organization's expectations and give you constructive advice on your progress toward audition day. There may be other students here as well, so that you can give each other feedback.

These classes will be held before all area auditions throughout the year.
